The PC

->The problem
Colic is a problem for horses and people. Colic causes problems for horses because it gives them intestinal problems. There are three types of colic. Stones, Impaction, and twisted intestines. Stones are when they eat sand and they do not have enough water to wash it down, causing the sand to get stuck making a stone. An impaction is when they eat too much at once and it gets stuck. Twisted intestine is when their intestines are twisted because they rolled around, causing the intestines to get twisted.

->It’s uses

Our project will be used to prevent colic happening to horses. There are three types of colic called, impaction, stones, and twisted intestines. Impaction is caused by eating too much at once and their heads being positioned in a way that is bad for their digestive system. Our project prevents impaction by giving them food at different times and in divided amounts, our project will also be positioned in a place that would bend their head down further. Stones are because they don’t have enough nutrients and horses accidently eating sand, causing it to build up, making stones. Stones would be prevented by our project by giving them enough nutrients, salt, and water by mixing them with the food in our feeder.
